Dr Gauri Mishra - MBBS (Hons), FRACP, PhD

Dr. Gauri Mishra is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with a wide range of interests including bowel cancer screening, coeliac disease, iron deficiency and functional bowel disorders. She also has a special interest in liver cancer, liver fibrosis and advanced liver disease. She completed her medical degree with honours at the University of Tasmania and completed her basic physician training at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne. 

Gauri was awarded fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2015 after further advanced training in Gastroenterology at the Royal Hobart Hospital and Monash Health. She has completed a PhD evaluating outcomes of transarterial chemotherapy in the management of liver cancer, with presentations at national and international conferences and journal publications.

Gauri has a public appointment at Monash Health as a consultant Gastroenterologist and hepatologist. She manages ward patients, attends outpatient clinics and performs gastroscopy and colonoscopy as well as Fibroscans. She is actively involved in liver disease research and clinical trials, in addition to clinical teaching.
